Ok, so hello there! I'm new here, I signed up yesterday but just got evaluated today. I'm a friend of ExoByte, aka the "Lone Wolf". I've been reading around here and I must say, this stuff really interests me. I tried to go to just throw a Lucid Dream out there by saying "I will dream and have control" over and over, but I just fell asleep. I've been thinking about attempting getting Lucid in a dream by starting out with a WILD, and the technique I'll probably use tonight is the Reverse Blinking method. Some people replied with how it worked, and I want to try it out, just to see if I even get HI or vibrations or something like that.

To continue, here's some background on my sleeping/ dreaming background.

Basically, everytime I have a dream, since I was about 10 years old, I've remembered/ recalled every dream I've had the next morning/ that morning. The one reason why I can't remember them now, other than one I had a few days ago is because I never had a dream journal. I plan on starting one on the next dream I have.

I also believe that I have dream premonition, which most of you know is something like almost predicting the future. Mine is mostly small scale stuff, like a fairly recent one is that I predicted I would have a substitute teacher for a long time during school in Algebra class, and sure enough, I've had a substitute teacher in Algebra for the past entire term, and I also recognized his face from somewhere, but I counldn't quite put it into place, but then I remembered sitting in class and looking up at the board and his face, and some thing popped into my head, like Deja Vu, except I knew where it came from. I also have had dreams where I was SLIGHTLY in control of my actions. Honestly, it wasn't like I would fly around on command/ will, but it was small things like before I woke up to go to school while I was in a dream, I would pick things up, or sometimes look at my hands randomly and say, "Wait a minute...", then my mom would yell for me to get up, or I would get up myself...Ending any mid-large scale lucid dreaming that could've happened.

Anyway, that's just some small background on me. I've never had any large dreams like events being recalled or at least significant ones at that. Mostly random "predictions" and odd dreams, like me feeding brownies to injured soldiers in a musty, damp, dirty tunnel...Yeah, weird.

So yeah, that's me. I'll be sure to stick around and update you guys with my state of Lucidity.

Current Lucidity Level: Zero, it sucks. :yumdumdoodledum:

Hey Bluey welcome. Can you please explain what the reverse blinking method is? I've never heard of it, sounds interesting!

Good luck! everyone sort of has their own little versions of wilds that work for them. so it might take a while to get it just right, but just incase you do, dont stop at the vibrations cause that means close. Try to ignore them and to not get to excited or you will just wake up.

remember, you dream everynight so when you wake up dont move around to much cause that somtimes drops your ability to recall them.

good luck! hope you have a LD soon!

I actually had a dream last night, in which I had slight control of my surroundings, but it wasn't a full Lucid. I don't think I ever noticed that I was dreaming. The problem with me is that I wake up at 5:30am to get up at school, and go to bed at around 10:30pm - 1am. This dream happened while my REM cycle was starting, because after I wake up and eat breakfast, I wait for my sister to get out of the shower, and while I do this, I fall back asleep in my room. It's only about a 15 minute catnap, but hey, I got a slight lucid dream.

I think doing this on weekends and using my alarm clock would benefit for extended Lucidity, but on weekdays, WILDing or doing w/e could work.
