Hey, I just thought i'd introduce myself and let ppl know my experiences so far with lucid dreams. My name is Oscar. I first found out about lucid dreaming about a year ago, and i read up on the different ways of inducing lucid dreams. I started keeping a dream journal, and within a few weeks i had my first lucid whilst attempting to WILD. I followed the WILD procedure I had read about and went through the first stages of the WILD, but fell asleep, then, whilst in the dream, i suddenly realised that i was dreaming, and imediately in the split second i thought about it, i woke up because of the excitement. It was the most amazing feeling ever, just knowing that training myself to recognise i was dreaming, had worked. I had never before had a lucid dream, although i had shared dreams with my younger brother when we were small and slept in the same room. In remember waking up one night from a nightmare and in that same second my brother awoke and i told him "jesus, i just had the weirdest dream" and he said "me too", so i told him the begining of my dream and he stoped me and finish it. I didnt find it strange though because its happened a few times, and we have even had the same thoughts at the same time, like starting to sing or hum the same song at the same time without any prompt. I stoped trying after my first time because of personal stuff, but im back, and here to learn and exchange experiences, so HI everyone, look foward to talking to you. Thanks

      Greetings.

I wonder if you can elaborate on your shared dreams? I've never experienced this, but I'm fascinated by the concept and am interested in somehow trying to induce one.

Well, the shared dreams I have experienced were non-lucid so i can not give you answers on how to have them, what i do know is that you have to have a strong connection with the person. In the case of my brother and I for example, we slept in the same room since we were small until the ages of 13 and 11, we went to the same school, always hung out together, because we were so close in age, we had most of the same friends so we developed the same humour, mentality and manerisms.
Maybe its possible to develop a connection with a person in a slower ammount of time by attempting lucid dreams in the same space as someone else and then somehow trying to establish a connection whilst in the dream. I dont know...

Hi to all that have replied so far

Hey welcome, I'm new myself. Your experience with shared dreams is really intereting, i've experienced it before but remember it very vaguely as it happened quite a while ago. But glad to hear someone else has experienced it!
