Hi everyone,

I signed up a couple of weeks ago but haven't been able to get on here - to much work before christmas!!

Anyways, apart from a reply to another member this is my first post so I may as well try and find what i'm looking for. I've been lucid dreaming as long as I can remember but didn't realise till I started talking to my partner about it and realised that not everyone dreams like this. I decided to look on the web to see if anyone else had experienced this and found this site which so far seems pretty cool.

My real question is about what hapens to me when I lucid dream. Me and my partner got talking about it because of an unusual thing that happens, it's been going on for quite a few years as my mum used to comment on it before I left home as well. When i'm lucid dreaming, although I'm aware and lucid and can control my dreams with ease i'm also awake for real and talking to people but I don't realise and have no control over it. I've had entire conversations with my partner in the morning but have no recollection of it afterwards although apparently I seem completely awake and perfectly normal. It's a bit of a shock to wake up in the kitchen pouring yourself a cup of coffee in the middle of a conversation and having no idea how you got there!!

Anyway I don't really know who to speak to about this who would actually have some experience in the sleep problem area. I used to sleepwalk to ridiculous extents when I was little, it got so bad that my parents put a lock on my door from the outside until I grew out of it. Could this be linked to it?

Any comments or ideas on whats going on would be hugely appreciated, many thanks.

      Hey -

Awesome experiences, there. Is your behaviour any different when you're dreaming and interacting with other people? This is very interesting. My life would be so much more fun if I could dream my way through the mundane parts of the day. What a gift you have!

      Welcome to the forum, sarah

I'm not sure what to tell you about your sleep-walking/talking. I don't have a lot of experience with either of these phenomenons but I encourage you to search the forum for similar experiences.
