Hey there everybody! I just recently (within the last 3 weeks) have been trying to achieve a lucid dream. Now I have had them before as a child so I knew all about them, and the last few years I actually came across this site, however it wasn't until about three weeks ago that I started a DJ and have really attempted to learn this skill.

So I was remembering my dreams, but I wasn't doing any RC's in my dreams and they were never lucid. So about two days ago I was really tired (stayed up until about 2 am) and decided that maybe I could WILD because I was literally about to pass out. Unfortunately being so tired my mind wandered like crazy and I had internal dialogue etc etc which kept me up. So I said in my mind, forget it don't LD tonight but at least remember your dreams. I then proceeded to fall asleep and the last glance at my clock showed 2:30am.

Fast forward 5 hours later and I'm in a dream. Things aren't to particularly vivid but I can sense everything, every object etc, I'm sure you know the feeling. I'm in some huge house I've never visited and I turn a corner and a man and a women dressed in black with masks like their thieves are standing in front of a giant switch that controls the power to the house. I say outloud "Oh shi..." as if I knew what they were planning. They flip the switch, everything goes dark, I can't see a thing. I remember the layout of the room just before the lights went off so I grope my way behind some desk. I look to my left and there is a single light on (I don't think anything of it) and I realize that im partially in the light and that he could probably see me. Anyways he does, brings me into a bedroom (shared, two beds, pretty spacious, as if two brothers shared it). He ties me and says don't talk! I say 'Ok' and he smacks me over the head. I continue this talking defiance until he leaves the room. I turn around see my brother just looking at me and then I stop for a second and take in the entire picture. The room, the furniture, the dream feeling, I realize this feels like a dream and the situation is impossible, the room appears to be very clear as well (not realistic visually clear but I can sense everything, theres books, shelves etc). I look at my brother and yell "Holy sh*t! I'm having a lucid dream!". His face becomes surprised as well and replies "*Gasp* Me Too!". For a split second I thought how absurd that was, he was having a lucid dream, but the dream is created by my mind, so how is that possible? I don't give it a second thought and instead focus on my dream. The first thing that comes to my mind is, 'I want to fight this guy who's robbing the house' so I open the door run down the hallway grab him by his throat and choke slam him to the ground. When he gets up I proceed to start doing all sorts of matrix like fighting moves (I put my hands behind my back and fight with my legs, at one point jumping sideways and kicking him). I then decided to quickly move back from him, I jump up in the air and start flying backwards, the walls become a blur and eventually I land. *During this point I think I lost lucidity as I was more a spectator and I stopped thinking about my actions, they just happened* He runs to me, I fight him up the stairs (from the basement I guess?) into a living room where I finally K.O. him. I tie his hands up and then start arguing with my brother about some character/star on CSI Miami? (I guess the whole catch the bad guy thing somehow got me thinking about CSI's) At this point I realize how dark and clouded everything is compared to when I saw the bedroom, then I realize again "Oh no this is a dream and I lost my lucidity and now everything is dark!" I didn't think to try to make the dream any more lucid as it felt like I was loosing control. Anyways things get darker and I wake up. I look at my clock and it just ticks 7:30 am.

I woke up exactly 5 hours later, that in itself was a strange incident to me. So I woke up, was in shock that I just had what appeared to be a lucid dream and then proceeded to write in my DJ and go back to sleep.

Yes, this is a lengthy post, I like to write and describe detail

So my big question, was this a lucid dream? Or Semi-lucid? Looking back everything became dark and clouded after I decided to jump and fly backwards really fast with the walls streaming by me.

Whatever it was, it was defiantly not my average dream, very cool.

7 before going to bed and about 8.5 after trying to WILD for a half hour.

I was at the point just before you get so tired that you can't sleep.

If it's any consolation I have had plenty of dreams since then, non lucid .
I really need to work on RCing during the day and observing my surroundings.

Why do you need to RC during the day?

Is it so you do it sort of automatically during your dreams?

      Hmm...
