For me I don't move at all, even scratching an itch ruins it but I do swallow me spit and sometimes move my tongue but those are rare occasions.

I havent gotten far enough to vibrate if that does occur, Ive only gone so far as to the bright colors.

      Hi there.

In answer to questions 1 and 2: This all depends on "Sleep Paralysis". The intensity of sleep paralysis can vary from person to person. I, for intance, experience it only very mildly if at all, and all it takes to break out of it is a tiny bit of effort. All it means for me is that my body wonn't move unconsciously, I have to consciously move it. However, you'll ddefinitely be able to move your mouth and tounge. But the idea of WILD is to NOT move at all. You DON'T want to move your body at all unless you want to abandon the attempt - otherwise you'll be back where you're started.

As to question 3: Firstly, you may not experience vibrations., It differs person-to-person. I don't get them at all. And even if you do get them, WHEN you get them depends on a number of factors. As a general guide though, if your WILD attempt lasts longer than an hour, it probably won't "come out".

In reply to Brandon: I've had three completely successful WILDs, with lots of others coming very close. I don't get hypnogogic imagery most of the time. Some people just don't.

You don't open your eyes. Not in real-life. The thing with WILD, is that you shouldn't be trying to consciiously do ANYTHING except remaining conscious. All you have to do is find something to center your awareness on, like counting or breathing or your body or hypnogogic imagery. It's a waiting game. Don't try to move or get impatient, don't think too much. Just try to keep your mind clear, and center your awareness using whatever technique, like counting, that you are using. Your body should shut down and go into physical sleep. EVENTUALLY if you do it right (or don't do anything not right, rather) you will move into a dream. This is what most people call the "transition". I myself get the sensation of rising up off my bed and onto the floor. My dream-eyes sort of... not so much open, as just I start to see stuff. Don't focus on your eyes opening. Don't try to open them. If you do you might end up opening them in real-life and waking yourself up.

The key to wild is to not try to make it happen or actuyally do stuff, but to create a scenario in which you LET it happen.
