      Hi there,

I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks now but as I've recently had a small amount of success I decided it's time for me to register.

I'm a 25 year old guy and I've know about lucid dreaming for a few years now. Since I was a kid I've had the ability to turn my nightmares around by willing it to be so. Usually it involved me changing the "bad" element of the dream into a friendly one and then spending the rest of the dream chatting to them if it was a "male" element or getting intimate with them if it was a "female" element (I guess that proves I've had a dirty mind for longer than I thought...).

I wouldn't really call it lucid dreaming as such though because I was never aware at the time that it was a dream. It was until a few years ago that I really started researching after I had a couple of full on lucid dreams with a high degree of control and I thought hey, I need to find out what this is and be able to do it more often.

I then started up a dream journal and kept it for a couple of weeks, but I was living with my parents at the time and I got all paranoid they would find the journal and as I wasn't having any success I gave up and destroyed the journal. I'm now back to living away from home and someone posted about a wierd dream they had that they could control on another forum I visit, and that sparked me off again.

I'm now keeping a dream journal again, and I had one dream already that I think was lucid although it was sorta hazy and I woke up wondering if it was a proper lucid dream, or a dream about a lucid dream. I also tried Brainwave Generator and some of the Mindvoyages stuff, and the other night I had a pretty long LD with a certain degree of control (which I will be posting in full in the appropriate section.

The main problem I'm having right now is that I work night shifts and I find that it's quite noisy outside when I'm trying to listen to BWGen presets or MindVoyages CD's, but I'm going to keep trying this time and not give up so easily.

      EDIT:
I've now posted my LD experience here: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=41946
