      Evening all.

I'm rather new to the "work" of lucid dreaming, though i've had the interest and tinker mentality for ages.

Found this place yesterday and thought, what the hey, i'll just join up and see what happens.

I have had one or two "unwanted" lucid dreams before, where i realised where i was and just started having fun(natural reaction i guess) and lately(for the past year or so) i've remembered every dream i've had.

I can even remember dreams that i've had a few years back.

I've never tried any "training" of sorts, writing them down or anything, it just has become that way that i remember even tiny details.

After reading that it's basicly the first step you do to learn lucid dreaming, i thought "Hey...am i a natural or something?"

      So i guess...here i am

Guess what i'd like is some, tips, comments, advice, etc. Don't really know where to start as there's so much to do

      Welcome!

To get you started, you might peruse the tutorials section. There are a lot of different techniques... the most tried and true ones are probably DILD and MILD. WILD is a bit tougher for most people, but worth trying to conquer. I get a lot of enjoyment and benefit from the dream journals, too.

You already know LDing is real... that's often one of the biggest hurdles!

      Enjoy.

Thanks a lot for a warm welcome.

The tutorials are "under work" for me, so i'm reading and probably taking my first shot tonight. Not overexited since i doub't i'm that good at it. Who knows.

Anyways, i did have a "noobie" question i didn't find an answer for, that i bet someone HAD to have experience with:

LAst night, i was thinking about dreamguides etc lucid dreaming alot when i went to bed.

So what happens? I get a dream, not a lucid one, no control of knowledge it was a dream, and i THINK i met a dreamguide. The thing is, there were two of them. And i knew one wasn't real, but not which one.

So the question really is, is it possible to meet your dreamguide without actually knowing it. Well knowing yes, but not realising it before you wake up? Even if it's "just a dream", which i hate to say everytime.

I'm not going to answer for this, as I don't believe in "dream guides." Someone will come along eventually who does and can help you, I'm sure.

That question is probably best posted in the "beyond dreaming" section though.

Being "good at it" is like being good at anything - it requires discipline and practice. There are a precious few "natural" LDers. The VAST majority of us here are not.

      Welcome to Dream Views. :]

Maybe someone should set up a poll so we can see how many naturals vs. those-other-people we have. It would be interesting.
