      <div align="center">Salutations Lucid Dreamers&#33;
      I am Arachanox&#33; Lord of Paradoxes&#33;

      Sometimes Quite Intelligent

      But more formally, I&#39;ll be known by my (extended) middle name, Marcus, because I am afraid of posting actual names.

      So...stuff about me, well:

      Gender: Male (nice though)
      Age: Mid-teens (wish I was younger, world was more fun)
      Pets?: Yup, two cats&#33; They are a fairly large fragment of my life. I&#39;ve given them lavish names to suit them:

      King Wilson Almanzo Ferdinando Mike ****** (my last name)
      Queen Gracie Elizabeth Ingalls Oliveye ****** (yup, last name)

      General: Not your average guy. I am actually very different from typical teens today. I have my own set of morals and such, but i&#39;m not emo, or goth, or hippie, or vegan, or anything like that. You really can&#39;t categorize me.
      Intellectual Status: I&#39;ve been told numerous things during my school years regarding my intellect, everything from "You&#39;re such a genius" to "How do you know so many things?" to "JUST SHUT UP ALREADY&#33;". But please don&#39;t overestimate me. I&#39;m just a resivoir of random facts.
      Mental Status: I&#39;m kind of misunderstood, teachers like to yell at me when I say things that they misinterpret, it is kind of unfair.
      Social Status: Meh, I have my three good friends, and I&#39;m happy with them.
      Girlfriend? Not now. Maybe next year.
      Other Interests: I&#39;m a basic programmer in school, and I enjoy my cats and learning everything I can get my hands on. I&#39;m caught up in the "the more I know the better I&#39;ll do in life" syndrome.
      Lucidity: Nil. That&#39;s why I&#39;m here to learn&#33;
      Anything else? I use my randomosity to have fun in life. I&#39;m more smiles and laughs than cries and depressions. In fact, this smiley sums my personality up best:
      </div>

      I&#39;m happy to meet all of you and I&#39;d accept any advice to help further my Lucidity quest&#33; I have a dream journal that I started if you want to look at it: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/inde...howtopic=43156

      So hello to all&#33; I&#39;m tired, so I&#39;m going to bed (and working on dream recall&#33

      One more thing: I&#39;m random.

      Welcome aboard Arachanox good to have ya

      Wow you&#39;ve got a big old bit of information there, thats cool.
      I&#39;m just a resivoir of random facts.[/b]
      Haah, yeah I&#39;m sort of like that as well.
      Well its good to see that you have a Dream Journal, they are the most valuable tools that you need for LDing as they help you recognise dream signs as well as improve your dream recall.
      Also have you checked the Tutorials Section yet, that has all the needed key info from techniques to LD, an Acronym List (most long words on here are shortened), Reality Check help and even a really helpful Book List.

      Well have fun and I&#39;ll see you around.

      Cool

      Hiya,

      Well yes recall is something that is very important. The better your recall is the more likely you
      are to be able to remember any Lucids you have when you wake from them. Recall might help
      you to find dream signs or triggers that will help you to attain lucidity.

      It would be a good idea to do reality checks (RCs). The reality check determines for you if you
      are awake our asleep at this moment. The idea is that if you do consistent RCS then you might
      do one while you are dreaming and realise that you are dreaming. I use the Hand RC so every
      hour I look at my hand and I count the number of fingers, check for solidity and if the hand looks
      any different to usual. This has been VERY effective indeed. The RC is mainly useful because
      you can check that you really are dreaming when you become Lucid and it might also cause you to
      have a Lucid dream if you do the RC while dreaming. It is all about consistency this one. Best to
      use something like your hand for an RC as you always have it with you - seems a waste of time to
      use a watch or something for an RC because it is not always with you and your hand is.

      It would be a good idea to read about LD induction techniques in the tutorial area of the forum and try
      some of them out and see if you can find one that suits you as the DILD technique works but it is random and not easy to consistently replicate. I just started to try FILD (finger induced LD) and it worked first time and it is mega simple to do - so read about that one and give it a try - you could do WILD or WBTB or MILD or many others.

      Definately get a lot of good quality sleep and definately write down everything you can about your dreams. Take a look at my dream journal if you like. Over time you can get some pretty big recalls. Some days are better than others. I am playing World of Warcraft at the moment so my sleep is suffering as is my recall.
      No Sleep = No LD&#39;s - best to keep stress low etc and don&#39;t stress about having the LD&#39;s - let them come naturally. Try thinking I will recall my dreams upon waking b4 you sleep and have a strong intent to have an LD. It is worth trying for because it is amazing when it happens.

      Also you should be patient. I have been working on LDing for a whole year now and I have only had 8 so far so keep working on it and building up your skills.

      Good Luck, hope it helped. Make sure to ask questions on the forum because people are helpful.

      Namaste

      Hey Arachanox&#33; Welcome to Dreamviews&#33;

      Thats quite the introduction&#33; But because NeAvO and Namaste have already covered most of what you&#39;ll need, I&#39;m just dropping in to give my personal Hello&#33;

      See you around&#33;

      <div align="center">Their original names were just Gracie and Wilson, though sometimes my mom calls Gracie "Grace". We got bored one day so we added a middle name, and then another, and another...

      It&#39;s fun. </div>
