Like what Riff said. On the whole, LDs tend to be more vivid and lifelife than non-lucid dreams, but that;s my experience. but it can really vary. I've had a few LDs that are even more vivid than real-life, and I can smell, see, taste, etc. On the other hand, I've had a few which are so vague and unvivid that, in honesty, were rather crap. Like I said, it varies.

There really is no way to tell what it WILL be like, but I have seen the goal. The POTENTIAL for a lucid dream is absolutely one of the most amazing experiences I've ever experienced.

In the most lucid dream, you can feel each individual grain of sand at a beach, or count the blades of grass.
My favorite thing to do is to touch things, and look at things up closely, just to see how real they look, and feel. I can feel my muscles working when I move. I can see in perfect detail. Everything is completely accurate.

So under ideal conditions, a LD feels completely real.

I have had some that are like life in Extreme High Definition. Unfortunately when they are "hyper reality" they tend to overwhelm me and wake me up extremely quickly. Some are still hazy like a normal dream, only you have control. LD's of that nature tend to allow me to stay Lucid for much longer, unfortunately though they are not as awe inspiring as the "hyper reality" ones.

It differs for everyone though. Just keep working on it and let us know what it was like for yourself.

It is like real life, sometimes exaggerated and more defined.

I just wonder:

Why are lucid dreams more vivid than ordinary dreams?

Is ordinary dreams in fact just as real as lucids? I it just that we don't percieve every detail since our conscious mind is barely present!?

thankz
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

I've not found that to be the case. My ordinary dreams are every bit as real as lucid dreams. I think you are thinking along the right lines though. The fact that your concious mind it in the LD causes you to examine it more closely and more critically.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...
