I Almost Controlled My Dream Last Night!

okay, so in my dream, i was sitting on my sofa and i just randomly thought that maybe i was dreaming, but i didn't do any reality checks, i just tried to move stuff with my mind, and it didn't work.i'm guessing i shoud've done an RC to convince myself better, and i should've done something easier.

Well, it sounds like you were pretty close. I agree that you should try something smaller next time. Try jumping as high as you can...

do you know any rc's that are reliable caus i had one where u pinch ur nose yet u should be able to breath through it if dreaming. so i was in a dream i tried the reality check but i couldnt breathe through the pinched nose so i wasnt aware i was dreaming.

I don't why everone try to make reality checks so complicated. Just pinch yourself, if it doesn't hurt, you're dreaming.

Hey, Ben! I have always thought that the best Reality Check was just to look around, and ask yourself, seriously, if you are dreaming. I can always tell if I just think about it.

Hey, something similar happened to me too when i started trying to lucid dream. I was doing some stupid stuff and i asked myself "Am i dreaming?", i then turned around and did a long jump but i forgot to do a reality check to fully convince myself i was dreaming so upon landing i got lost in the dream again

Don't worry. You might do this a lot of times before you actually get any better at dreaming. It's just how it goes. Just be aware of your mistakes, and you'll be a little wiser in the future. My brain was so stubborn, that once when I LDed, I told someone that I was dreaming about them, but I didn't make the connection. Just keep on trying.
