Thread: Intro & My First Lucid Dream

Hi all! this looks like a mad site, some cool interesting people on here looking forward to convos with you guys, Ive just joined and been looking around its such a cool forum not only is there unlimited stuff bout lucid dreaming but I like the diversity of the discussions too like the philosophy thread. I think I will be posting here a bit as Im really getting into lucid dreaming since I had my first (ill tell more later).. basically I just wanna introduce myself: im a 22 year old guy from Sydney Australia, just graduated uni (should be looking for a real job... but in no hurry!&#33 so at the moment just chilling and enjoying life

Ive always loved dreams and before i even knew about lucid dreaming whenever i had a cool dream that i wanted to remember i would write it down; I have dreams with these mad adventures with mystery and action, I just love them.. surreal landscapes, hot girls that arent sluts (i must be dreaming! haha) anyway I was at work on a break reading the paper and discovered an article on lucid dreaming and it spun me out, the idea still does!! there is endless possibilities with this, it really is a whole other world.. I was so into it and always going on about it to my mates explaining to them what i read and how to do it and how cool it would be, etc, etc and I was going on about it so much that my friend had one before me (he said that in his dream I was going on about lucid dreaming and told him to check his watch to see if he was dreaming and he was!&#33 lucky bastard!!!

my turn finally came... I was in this desert with huge dunes everywhere, its wasnt a sandy desert though it was all dirt... I think it was that weirdness that made me realise I was dreaming. As soon as I realised this feeling just swept over my entire 'body' and I was really really alert, honestly the MOST AMAZING feeling I have ever felt!!! ... I became lucid, I wanted to fly away from the desert and actually go and explore, so I jumped expecting to glide up into the sky but instead I was just doing these long floating jumps along the dunes (kinda like astronauts jumping on the moon).. after about the fifth jump I woke up.. I LOVED IT!!! all i wrote down was "LUCID IT WAS AMAZING" lol now that I know for sure that it is possible for me to have them I Just wanna have more!!!! im addicted!! I have just ordered two books "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge and "Lucid Dreams in 30 Days: The Creative Sleep Program" by Keith Harary... look forward to sharing and learning with you guys hopefully its not another month before my second one

Hey, welcome to the forum, man. I said hi to you and Exodus, the other Oz guy, on his thread, but I will here too. HI!!! I love Sydney, by the way. One of my favourite non-uk cities in the world, that I've been to. Not that I'm a globetrotter or anything. But yeah. I was over there a year ago visiting a mate, and I loved it, you're very lucky. Auckland sucks in comparison.

Hey, nice to meet you&#33; You&#39;re a lucky man, I&#39;ve been trying for almost 2 months (although only the first 2 and last 1 week of that have I really been serious about it) and still have some pretty lame recall skills let alone any lucid dreams. Still, I used to be in the I-don&#39;t-think-I-ever-dream-at-all boat, so I guess that&#39;s improvement.

Good to see there are some other Aussies on this forum&#33;

Just stumbled across the idea of lucid dreaming last week and looking forward to lucidity (I&#39;m jealous of you and your friend&#33. I&#39;ll have a dream journal on here soon... See you round&#33;

I think when your real psyched about it and thinking bout it a lot one will pop up, and when it does man you just get hooked, and u sound psyched so get ready&#33;&#33;&#33; not that I didnt believe it was real, but when you have it urself its just unf&#39;nbelievable and you really just wanna go back... i cant believe there are lucky farkers who have them every night&#33;

I honestly reckon mine was a fluke man, cause its not coming back&#33;&#33; I thought after the first it would be easy but still nothing... another thing my dreams always have this kinda blurriness to them, other people are saying its so vivid, my dreams always have this kinda hazy light not as vivid as real life, hopefully the dream journal and recall will start helping that?.. anyway dude from going to &#39;not&#39; having dreams to remembering is a huge step, so ull get there soon&#33;&#33; let us know when you do, its going to blow your f&#39;n mind&#33;&#33;&#33;
