I've been Lucid Dreaming for about 1 and a half years now, never really knew it was too uncommon, I actually thought that I was behind on this, and that everyone knew about it.

Anyway, over the course of the last 2 years, i've probably had about 50 Lucid Dreams or so, pretty fun things ensued during those dreams, and sometimes really boring things because I lacked any kind of control.

Anyway, I decided to research further and found out about this site through Wikipedia. I wouldn't have started looking if it weren't for a few people I know who said they've never even thought it was possible to control your dreams, which made me think it wasn't as common as I had thought.

Anyway, im never good at telling about myself, so post any questions you have and i'll see if I can answer them.

Thanks for the greeting. I was just reading through that adoption program, and if I stick around, would happy to help out, but I guess theres a 2 week waiting period before you can adopt/be adopted?

Anyway, I guess in the mean time, I'll start trying to learn some of these newer things I was reading about Last night. Im really interested in this "WILD" technique. From everything i've heard, the one I use the most would be Auto-Suggestion. But I think if I used something like WILD, i could probably achieve a Lucid Dream every night.

Yeah WILD is probably the best induction technique, if you can master it. LD's everynight. I wish I could master it. Anyways, it is also the hardest to do, but if you think you're up to it, then give 'er shit buddy! Remember it works best after a WBTB though.

Yeah, I think I'll give that a go sometime next week, and just start getting myself use to waking up at an earlier time so that I don't just pass right out before I have a chance to do anything.

I've been reading, and it seems like Sleep paralysis seems to be the worst stage for people when going through WILD, that and getting to the Hypnogogic Imagery. Usually I can get sleep paralysis on accident while trying to sleep.. it just sorta happens. Not sure about the Hypnogogic imagery though, I've never really focused on that, and just always fell asleep before it happened.

Yeah, most people don't like sleep peralysis for some reason. I personally, love it. Fun feeling. You'll have to test for yourself though.

Hi there and welcome to Dream Views.

Interested in WILDing I see. It's a great techinique if you can get a handle on it. I can WILD but I'm far from mastering it. From my experience it's easiest to WILD during an afternoon nap or right after jot down my dreams early in the morning. But that's just me.

Anyway, before I get rambling, good luck with your dreaming persuits and hope to soon be reading your LD accounts.

Need help with something feel free to pm me.
I'm usually lurking about here somewhere.

I'll be starting a DreamJournal sometime this weekend probably. I've never had one, so it'll be interesting to see my dreams after a couple months and be like "Oh, did I really dream that?".

From what i've read on WILDing, I think considering that I can handle the Sleep Paralysis part easy, and that seems to be the worst, I should be able to get through it ok. Im usually pretty good at doing just about anything I set my mind too.

I actually had a dream last night where I was talking to my friend about Lucid Dreaming, and was telling him you could do anything in a dream, and ended up doing all the stuff I told him he could do... I just never realized that it was a Dream, but had full control over everything.

Yup, so anyway, keep on the look-out for my first Dream Journal Entry sometime this weekend

      Thanks for the welcome.

I just had my first Lucid Dream since signing up. I updated it in my dream journal. Its not too great because im sick, so my recal is a bit iffy right now.

Is it normal that when your sick you have bad recall? I usually have decent recall when im sick, but im thinking since this was a lucid, the only part i remember is the part that I was conscious in.
