      Just started training myself

I had a lucid dream a few years ago, in which I was in a room in a hospital where lots of tools were being cleaned, and just suddenly (no noticable trigger) I knew I was dreaming. I didn't really know what to do about it, I just stood there for a little while thinking of the possibilities.

Eventually I walked out into the main corridor outside the room (the hospital was HUGE, and really old and slightly sinister looking, made of old brick). There were doctors, nurses, patients, and visitors all wandering around. I decided to try to see if I could make them float, and they all started hovering about a foot above the floor. The looks of utter shock on their faces was absolutely hilarious. I got a rush of excitement and started flying toward the nearest window... I burst out and swooped around for a short while before waking.

I was amazed when I awoke from this dream, and the whole of the next day I was somewhat dumbfounded and still a bit unsure about bwhat had happened to me. It wasn't until about a year later that a character in a scifi book I was reading mentioned lucid dreaming, and I realised that that was what had happened. I told all my friends about my lucid dream and started really wanting to have another.

I gradually forgot all about it, until I moved into my new house and started chatting a lot to one of my new housemates. She mentioned something about dreaming which triggered my memory and I told her about my lucid dream, and the idea behind lucid dreaming. She sounded like she was really interested and would like to try it, and we left it at that.

Yesterday I was walking around town with her, and she mentioned that she had had a lucid dream the previous night. She was in an indoor spa type jacuzzi thing, in a nice glass building, and she could change the building around and make people appear and disappear. I was, obviously, incredibly jealous, because I wanted another lucid dream. I decided to do some research into lucid dreaming to see if it was possible to induce lucid dreams, and Here I am. I have one night's worth of dream journal up, and I am on my way to hopefully becoming a real dreamer.

On a slightly related note, I remember experiencing once the strangest feeling I have ever had. I remember swimming fuzzily towards consciousness, and then becoming fully awake. I did not have my eyes open, and I wasn't aware of who or what I was. In fact I'm not even sure I was aware that I even had eyes. I just remember feeling worried, like I should be aware of more things than this, but then I drifted out of consciousness again. I thought I might have been injured or hurt somehow, and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. Anyway, the next day I recalled being in this sort of ego-less state, and It was really bizarre. Has anyone else experienced anything like that?

Sorry for the long posts folks

There's no need for apologies, there aren't enough long posts around here sometimes.

I had an LD where I was in a hospital similar to the one you were in, the walls were all unpainted brick, the windows were boarded up with a few streams of light getting in and the halls were lined with filthy gourneys and old folded up wheel chairs etc.

It was wierd yet, not un-cool...
These are the tears that I dream about...
