It just seems odd to me.....but amazing! I've always wanted to do the impossible....maybe relive my life over and visit my old childhood friends....I REALLY WANT TO HAVE A LUCID DREAM! ^_^

(1) How can you actually Lucid Dream...there hasnt been any directions...is there any? What should do to be able to Lucid Dream?

(2) What is Lucid Dreaming like anyways....does it still just feel like a dream? Does it seem real?

(3) Can anything bad happen if I Lucid Dream?

1.) The only direction is to notice your dreaming, reality check ect.

2.) Imagine yourself in a real world able to do ANYTHING!!! Lucid dreams are almost always as real as walking life.

3.) Nothing bad can happen to your physical body, but you could get stabbed in a dream and feel the pain but it doesnt effect your physical body .

Hopefully you can achieve lucidity tonight so you can experience it first hand!Whats your dream recall at right now?
And what is your main thing you want to be lucid for? Flying, pure freedom, or maybe the big one...sex

Well, there's a HUGE amount of resources on that in our Tutorials section, on various LDing techniques, and dream control exercises, etc. I think on the main site, www.dreamviews.com, there's also a tutorial. Take a look! And feel free to come back and PM any dreamguide or post in this thread or elsewhere if you have any questions.

Nothing more than can happen in non-lucids. You might have a nightmare and get a bit of a scare when you wake, but it;s less likely to happen while lucid than while not lucid. Other than that, no. LDing is not dangerous in either the short term or the long term, as far as we know.

I just thought I'd chip in and offer some token dissent here. LDs vary fior me. Some can be as vivid as real-life, some less so and some barely more vivid than normal dreams. I find it varies greatly. I think for some people though, how vivid LDs are changes.

lol....Ive got no clue what my dream recall is at right now
The reason this interested me is because Ive always wanted to relive my past.....and since time travel is impossible at this moment this could be my only shot. Ive had a LD before but it was very very short....and odd.....but it made sense lol.....can hardly remember it now!
Anyways whats the normal amount of dreams a person usually has....how much do you have???

There is not one way, or any real way to lucid dream. The methords or techniques you read about are ways that some people do, and work for somepeople. You have to find out what works for you.

I lucid dream is like reality, except for the occation out of place things, and odd dcs. I can't expalin but when im dreaming i get this certain chill or feeling that im dreaming, and when im lucid dreaming i feel like im king of the world. Yes it seems very real, atleast mine do.

It sounds like you may have misunderstood the question. Elwood's question - if I may speak for him - is "How many dreams do you recall on a typical night? How well do you recall your dreams?"

People typically have 3-7 dreams a night, though it varies, depending on things such as length of sleep and length of individual dreams (as you can have more than one dream in a single REM period).

There's a philosophical description I've come up with that I've been dying to use somewhere. Now's my chance. Like all good philosophical statements, it raises more questions than it answers. Think of it this way: Dreams are something that happen to the dreamer - Lucid dreaming is something the dreamer does. The difference is the focus of attention (consciousness). One is a relatively passive process; the other is a relatively active process.

My dream recall ranges from at least 3 to 15 on average. But I probably have more.

Hey, welcome, etc. etc. I think about three to four per night is good for a beginning lucid dreamer, though it varies. I suggest you keep a dream journal; it's really helped me.

Usually 2-3 here, though they're mostly quite long. I tend to get fewer dreams but longer.

I guess I have a lot of dreamlettes, too, but mine tend to be continuations of the previous dream so I can't consider them as being actual different dreams, just new scenes. I typically have an average of three distinctly separate dreams in a given night.

But if you can recall up to 15 - hell, up to 8 - dreams on any night then you are amazing. Kudos!
