However, the problem that I am experiencing is SP. I have read that SP is a great gateway to lucid dreaming. So for the past few weeks when I get sp I just try to relax, but I keep waking up... This also happens when I get slowly begin to fall asleep. For example, when I was trying to sleep at the airport, I closed my eyes and I began to think of random people.. Then environments began to form. It felt like a day dream more than a real dream however the moment I realized that I was dreaming, I either went into SP or I woke up
I feel like I'm so close, but I don't know what to do from here... Why do I keep waking up?[/b]

I think you have a lot of stress issues associated with this, therefore, you cannot just let things happen. Just try no to think about anything, and if SP happens, let it, and don't fight it. Let things be organic, and just go with the flow of your mind. Having a calm, anything goes attitude will really help your dreaming performance.
