Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and to the world of lucid dreaming. I am on day 4 of Bradley Thompson's 7 Days to Lucid Dreaming. I unexpectedly had my first lucid dream this morning before going to work. I was wondering if you could tell me if it was a WILD or not.

I woke up for the first time to my alarm this morning and was disappointed that I did not remember any of my dreams last night. I was still somewhat tired though so I hit the snooze (10 minutes long) and went back to sleep. I did this 4 times (40 minutes) and decided to think about lucid dreaming again the 5th time I hit snooze. I've had vivid dreams in the past that I can remember to this day and I've experienced periods of lucidity without really knowing what it was before but this was an entirely new experience for me. I was aware of what was happening throughout the entire dream from start to finish. As I was falling asleep, I was aware that I was falling asleep, as I was entering the dream I was aware of it, and as I started to wake up at the end of the dream I was aware of it (I actually tried to stop this from happening in the dream by rubbing my hands together -something I'd heard was effective for some people). When I awoke, my eyes were still closed, but I knew that I was awake and made a conscious decision to open them and get my day started. My question is, what this a WILD since I was aware that I was entering the dream before I was actually in it? The sensation of entering the dream felt like my bed was absorbing me, I was "sinking" deep into it and then I was suddenly in the dream, which coincidentally, started with me rolling out of my bed (but I knew it was a dream and not a false awakening).

The sensation of entering the dream was the most amazing/scary/fun thing I've ever experienced. I really felt the physical forces acting on my body. I was able to control some things in my dream as well, and I found that "dream spinning" helped me to remain lucid. LDing is so awesome. I'm a true believer in it now.
