Autosuggestion? |

Hello all! I'm new here and I have a question. I've always been excellent at dream recall (can remember about 3 a night), and I remember having quite a few lucid dreams before as well. What I'm really wondering about is choosing your dream without wanting control in it. |

Hi, . Off the top of my head the best thing I can think of is VILD (visually incubated lucid dreaming), and I have seen more techniques on the forum also. What I would reccommend doing is checking out the Tutorials Section or doing a forum search if that doesn't work or you need a different technique. I have, from time to time, seen threads on how to do exactly that, so you're sure to find more. Happy Dreaming, and good luck |

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I'll definitely check out the tutorials! |

You're talking about Dream Incubation. The guts of what you need to do, is to try to think of the topic you want to dream about throughout the day - preoccupy yourself with it, as you would if you were doing reality checks. Read about it before you go to bed, or do another associated activity. For instance, I tend to get "Arabian Nights" themed dreams when I read the Nights before be or play Prince of Persia (a sort of arabian nights themed videogame). |
