Hello everybody, I am new here, my name is Mairo and I have been working on Lucid Dream for around one month. I from Brazil, sorry If I sometimes make english mistakes, but it is not my language...

I had an unexpected Lucid Dream last week when I saw my dead grandmother and thought "this is a dream", so I looked my hand and there was 7 fingers! I could talk to my grandmother but after a while she faded away, so I went to the kichen of my grandmother's house and tried another reality check, the light switch... it doesn't worked(the switch, I was realy dreaming) ! I also opened the refrigerator to see if there is light inside but there was no light...after that my dream started to fade away and I woke up...It was great! One of the greatest experiences in my life! As I said, it was unexpected becous I did the reality check just becous I saw my dead grandmother....

Anyway, I still working in dream recall and it is very difficult for me... If I got more then 8 hours of sleep I usually can remember at least one dream, but at weekdays I usually dream about 6-7 hours and cannot remember any dream! I also go to bed very tired becous I practice sports at night, from 7:30 until 9:30... I got very tired and sleep like a rock! When I have time to sleep more it is easier to remember... last week I could not remember any dream from monday to friday, but I could remember one dream in saturday night and 3 dreams in sunday night! After that, on monday I could not remember any dream, I was very tired... so yesterday, tuesday night, I did not practice sports at night and sleeped a lot, maybe more around 8-10 hours and dreamed a lot...I wrote down on my journal 3 dreams and some vague memorys....

I want to know if beeing tired is good or not for dream recall and if theres is anything I can do to remember my dreams even when I go to bed very tired...

      that's it.

I find that the more physically, emotionally and mentally tired I am, the worse my dream recall is and the lower the chances of a lucid dream are. This isn't the same with everybody though.

The moment you wake up, try to remember your dreams. They fade very quickly. You might also want to try an alarm to wake yourself every 90 minutes or so to try remember dreams.

Keeping a dream journal provides motivation. It really helps.

I mostly agree, with the exception of the alram clock. Actually, try waking up without an alarm clock for a while. By being awakened suddenly, you're likely to interrupt your dream and not complete the sleep cycle. By being startled, you'lre forced to focus on what is happening rather than where you just were (in a dream). You'll also have to take the time to physically move and turn the alarm clock - also taking your focus away from the dream.

I see the reasoning behind the 90 minute waking technique - not everyone falls asleep at the same time, however, from the time they lay in bed to the time they really fall asleep. The best way to exercise this test would be to have somekind of monitor that could detect your REM and "buzz" you seconds after you stopped.

Congratulations on your lucid dreaming experience. The more tired I am, the worse my memory (for everything, not just dreams), and it is harder to have lucid dreams.

you're english is fantastic compared to my portuguese (I don't speak or write any&#33

Well, I know about using an alarm every 90 minutes, but as Tornado Joe said it seems not so good...and also I dont want an alarm waking me up every 90 minutes....
I really got physically tired on monday, wednesday and friday's night. At these days I usually go to bed around 11:30~12:00 and wake up next day at 6:00! So It is very difficult to remember my dream at these days!

I want to know if there is any method to relax before go to bed in ordem to no sleep like a rock ?

Sorry for ask these question here, but I am very busy lately and almost dont have time to read stuff about Lucid Dream...
But I keep writing my journal and witha strong motivation every night...even when I cannot remember any dream
