Should I write down old dreams?

I started to write down my dreams about two weeks ago, I was just wondering I have all these memories of dreams (I am absolutely sure they are old dreams and not just something I thought of) should I write these down too? I am starting to have much better dream recall and much more vivid dreams, where it now takes up to 1 or 1 1/2 pages just to write down a dream. Remembering all my dreams now, for some reason all these other dreams I have had before I can still remember, especially this one somewhat re-occuring dream I had when I was 12 ( don't know if it's considered re-occuring, as it would have different outcomes, but everything else in between was basically the same). Thank you very much for your help!

I definitely would write them down. If you still remember them, they must have had an outstanding feature, especially the recurring ones. You may recognize dream signs that you aren't aware of. Also, if you get the recurring one to come back, they would be a great way to become lucid.

I don't think it will make that much difference whether you write down the old dreams or not to be honest. I mean, for exmaple if you are recording frequency of certain dreamsigns, then a few missed dreams here and there will not affect the overall picture, if you think about how many future dreams you will have. So don't feel you have to.

Well I didn't mean he had to, if it is too much trouble; I just thought if he remembers them they would be worthy of recording. Maybe not, I don't know. I actually haven't done it myself with some really old child-hood dreams that I had; but I don't think I'll ever forget them, so I don't really need to write them down.

Yeah, no sweat, we posted at the same time - my post wasn't in reply to yours. You have a valid point. (How do I turn of email notifications?)

I wrote down all my old dreams when I started my journal a week ago. I don't think it's important for me to write them down, but I did it anyway since they are so interesting. Also my dream journal was just a blank sheet before that

There aren't so many details, and they were only 5, so it didn't take me very long to write them down. Why not!

I don't. In fact lately I'm starting to remember bout 2 dreams a night just in my head. I'm just lazy tho too, and I drink a lot of V8, I'm thinking thats a big factor.

Go to CP, then I think it is options, then there is a place to turn it off. I tried once and it didn't take, hopefully will work now. If I didn't explain it right, go to Feedback, the thread about the new forum. I asked the question there and Burns told how to do it.

Once I began to keep and dream journal and get interested in LD'ing, about 5 or so dreams from my childhood came back to me - and more are all the time. They are formative ones I think, very vivid. Some may have been lucid at them time.

I wrote them down for sentimental reasons, they are a window into the past. Plus some of them are cool!
