Red face Lucid dreaming possible for me?

Hi everyone. I'm new to the site and the concept of lucid dreaming. I've read basically this entire site and have come to the conclusion some people may not ever get to learn how to do this. When I dream, I am never aware of it. I almost always recall my dreams but I recall them as a kind of movie. Like I was just watching me in the actual dream. But as for me feeling like I'm part of it, I don't. I've had only 2 experiences in my life note worthy. My sister, who was my best friend, past away 2 yrs ago. Since than I have had only about 3 dreams about her. In the first dream, she called me on the phone, and I got so excited because I had been awaiting the moment she spoke to me, that I woke myself up accidently. You could only imagine how mad I was at myself. The second dream was a bad one in which I didn't like what she was doing or telling me, so I left the dream immediately. That's the only two times I remember having any voluntary actions. Can any of you shed light on this for me? Is it even attainable for me? I would love to acquire this skill. Thank you all for taking the time to read and/or reply to me post.

I've only had 2 lucid experiences so far, and the 1st was a long dream which just happened by luck. I also remember my dreams most of the time unless I'm really busy. The way you describe that you don't feel like you are part of it is interesting. I mean, I feel like I am in my dream a lot of the time. That I am taking reasonable actions or fun ones given very odd circumstances that I always fail to realize are the tell-tale signs that I am dreaming. Do you feel like you are watching someone else do everything in your dream or are you simply not aware that you are dreaming? Most people never are aware that they are dreaming so don't let that discourage you. It might take some time, but I am confident most people can learn to lucid dream if you give it enough time and effort. That first lucid dream really REALLY gives you the drive to try our a whole bunch of lucid dreaming methods... Just look around the forum for some tutorials and other's experiences too!
Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? -- Morpheus

      Red face

Thanks Suby. To answer your question, I feel like someone else is going through the dream. It's kind of hard to explain, but that's the jist of it. Even though I know it's me, I feel like I'm just watching eveything unfold.

Don't worry, I think you could definately lucid dream if you worked hard on it. You're starting out fairly well, since you remember most of your dreams, and that's one of the biggest steps.

Control and lucidity are independant, so you can be lucid in a dream like yours where you have no control, meaning you could lucid dream even while your dreams are like they are now. Furthermore, gaining skill at becoming lucid almost always causes you to gain skill in dream control, so as you practice, you'll probably find yourself more and more in control of your dreams.

Do you ever wake up after a dream in the middle of the night?
If so, you should search up "DEILD" in the forum, as this would be a perfect time for you to go lucid.

Everybody can lucid dream, its just different methods work for different people.

Lucid dreaming's possible for everyone. You just need determination to LD. I've had slight ld's, but nothing that big. All you need to do is focus, and set your intent. Sooner or later, you'll get one big happy LD.
