      My First Night

I just wanted to make sure that I'm doing things correctly after my first night of training my mind to recall dreams better. I realized now that I wrote down 6 dreams over the course of the night, one of them was a false awakening.

Also, I wrote on my hand in pen "You're Dreaming!" I check it once every few mintues. Is this an effective method to induce a LD? I'm doing this in addition to a reality check.

Hi! Welcome to Dreamviews! It sounds like you are well on your way. please keep on doing what you are doing. You may also want to look in the tutorials and choose an induction method or two to practice! Good luck and be sure to ask any questions you might have!

Haha, Seeker, "Good luck and be sure to ask any questions you might have!" - He did actually have a specific question...

Well, to try to answer your question, that sounds like a good way to keep yourself thinking about lucid dreaming and also to remind yourself to do a lucid dream. This is certainly a step in the right direction as far as I can see, but I'm no lucid expert.

Good job on remembering lots of dreams too... I never really wake up after each dream cycle. I just seem to remember a whole compilation of random things. I'm not sure if that is from the whole night, or just the most recent REM cycle.
Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? -- Morpheus

I'm not sure what I was thinking Seeker, my apologies. I'm so out of it right now... I had to reread the post a few times to understand anything lol!

      :S

The writing on your hand may help some, but it's not certain. There's no garuntee that it'll be there into your dreams, and that you'll see it, and that you'll remember what it means, especially since words are likely to change in dreams. It probably will help a little in inducing lucid dreams, but be sure not to rely on it to remind you to reality checks, since it probably won't be there to remind you in your dreams.
