Instant LD after falling asleep... (question)

I was really tired from a long day and went to sleep at 12 at night. I had a LD that felt extremely real, and everytime I was losing the dream I could get it back (maybe 3 or 4 times). At some point I was feeling really tired so I told to everybody in my dream that "I'm going to rest" and opened my eyes twice into the real world. It was 12.30!!! I think I just went instantly into LD after falling asleep.

I am not an experienced LDer (thats why I post my question here)
so I would like to know if that's frequent or not and why this happened (too tired, stomach too heavy etc)

PS: I havent dreamt at all the previous 3 days because I was away from home on holidays getting ridiculously drunk and sleeping on a very uncomfortable sofa only when extremely exhausted. I think thats my explanation but I would like to hear yours...

Actually, i had a similar experience a year or two ago. I had woken up, too tired to actually get up, and it was around 8 am. I decided to go back to sleep, and woke up 15 min. later from an extremely vivid lucid dream. (actually, what im describing is my first lucid dream. then i vaguely knew what a lucid dream was) I apparantly had the dream the second i got to sleep. It wasnt a long dream, and extremely pointless, and i figured it was a dream because at the time i was on vacation and the setting was at home. I myself am not an experienced lucid dreamer. Im still in my teens. But if i remember correctly a good way to induce a lucid dream is to wake up and go to sleep almost immediately after that (correct me if im wrong, but i beleive it said something along those lines)

Hrm I don't know if that was a WILD, WILDs are when your consciousness goes straight into a lucid dream. Did you "black out" before the dream happened. Or did you remain conscious all the way until the dream started?

With answers to your question, I think it was the travelling and exhaustion that made you lucid dream. Maybe your body needed rest, where as your mind was "very awake" from all the work you wrre doing allowing you to lucid dream.

I was really tired and went to bed. I was thinking a bit before falling asleep and at some point I realised I was hearing music (songs) and then I thought maybe I am dreaming (I had a dream feeling) so I opened my eyes and I was in a dream (in my bed), I went through the window (first time) and started flying (first time).

I think that my brain was too active to go to sleep while my body was exhausted. I had spent 3 days partying as hard as possible, and I had not even one minute (except toilet) that I was not with people and doing something...

PS: maybe I could start the Party Induced LD...

For the dude that woke up at 8 a.m. and then had a vivid lucid dream within 15 minutes, that was a DEILD (Dream-exit induced lucid dream), a relatively newly named method that involves waking up at just the right time in your REM period and being able to go right back to sleep right into a dream. I've successfully done this before.

As for the bed @ 12:00 dude, that was a WILD since you didn't have any lapse of consciousness.
      Stay lucid, stay WILD!
