      Dream recall

Hey all! This will be my first post at this forum, but far from my first time here. Ive been snoping around here for a couple of months now, and I realy like what I read. But there is one thing I havent found answer to yet, here goes:

To start having(recalling) lucid dreams, you have to work on your dream recall. So my question is, what is good recall? Everywhere ive looked, it only says you have to have good recall, but its not specified. So, what is good recall. 1-2 dreams pr night. Or 4-5 dreams a week? And how much of the dream do you have to recall? When I write in my dream journal, I only come out with a few lines from each dream

      Thanks for a great forum!

      Hi and welcome, I guess

Well recall isn't really needed but it is wanted. Imagine if you were a brilliant lucid dreamer but had no recall. You wouldn't be able to remember those dreams, which would make lucid dreaming pointless.

Also recall helps to become lucid because you can make a dream journal using it and recognise dream signs from it.

No worries, I'm here to help. That sounded clichéd.

harrystamper, first.. thanks for deciding to post and welcome!

Remembering well one dream a night is more preferable in my opinion than remembering snippets of many dreams.

Everyone's recall is different.. I don't really feel there is a "normal". I may have one or many dreams depending on how long I sleep (the longer I have to sleep.. the more different dreams I have).
