      Hello! I'm New Here

Hiya, I'm Zoe, i'm 16 and from the UK. I was looking up on google about the kind of dreams where you know you are asleep, and came across this site a few weeks ago, but I didn't join then because I wasn't sure if anyone could join or if you had to be especially invited.
I have dreams like this occasionally, usually involving being able to fly and it's so annoying waking up in the real world and not being able to when it's so easy in a dream, but I would like to learn to have them more often at will. Judging from what I've read here, this is the place to help me do that, so I just wanna say Hi! Also, I apologise for the prattle/babble/nonsense I type, i'm just not sure what information you want me to put so i'm sort of putting down anything. Sorry.
There are so many exciting things mentioned on here, like astral projection and stuff, can anyone learn to do that, or is it something you are born to naturally? because I'd really like to learn.

So, in summary - Hi, I'm Zoe, you people seem great. Thanka, cya

      Welcome!

To answer your last question: Lucid Dreaming is something you learn. Many people are born with the ability, but it is learnable.

      WELCOME ZOE!!!!!

Don't worry about it, your post was actually pretty good, mostly when you compare it to other intro posts we get that say something like:

I WULD LAIK TO NOW HUW TO LUCID!!!! SUMONE PLEAS TELL ME HUW!!!!![/b]
In other words, yours made perfect sense....

I hope that we can help you on your road towards more frequent LD's and If you haven't read the tutorials I suggest you start from there. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask!!!
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

      Hello Zoe!

I am new to this site also, and I'm looking forward to learning from the experts here as well.

If you want a good book on learning techniques to help you lucid dream, I would recommend 'Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming', by Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D. & Howard Rheingold. It is packed with practical tips and research on methods to help you become lucid.

You also mentioned an interest in astral projection. A book that many people have recommended to me on this topic is 'Astral Dynamics', by Robert Bruce. This comprehensive and somewhat lengthy book explains the theory and practice of astral projection. It is also packed with exercises for you to learn how to achieve these states.

The good news for you is that you are already predisposed toward these states of consciousness. Please continue to learn more about lucid dreaming (as we all are) and I look forward to hearing about your successes in future!

Hate to burst your bubble but Zoe(zo-i) does not rhyme with joe(jou)...perhaps it rhymes with Joey, but definetely not Joe...unless her name is pronounced "Zou"...

      welcome!!!

dreamviews, i can't say much about it, because either my head is full of brilliance, and can't fit much of anything in there anymore, or i am haunted by the ghost of stupidity, and i just plain can't fit anything in.

my head hurts half the time,

      so i can't think,

but the other half of the time, i'm chalked full of brilliance.

My name is pronounced like Zo and then E, Zo-e, Zoe, some say it should be therefore spelt Zoë, but the umlauts aren't on my birth certificate or anything, so neh at them.
At first it wouldn't let me post here again, but now it is doing, but I have also posted in another bit to say thankyou to everyone who welcomed me. I'm thanking you again because you are all such wonderful people.
I'm afraid I don't know what the British Embassy International Bachallaureatte School in Athens Greece but it sounds great and I hope you have fun there Lowercase Society.
roninxyz, i'm keeping a look out for those books, thankyou.
      THANKYOU to all welcomers!
