      Dream content.

      I was pondering this the other day. For you to summon up a given circumstance or feeling or whatever, would it be nessicary for you to have felt that thing before. Example: If you have never felt pain before, could you feel pain in your dream? I'm not asking that specific question, I'm just using it as an example. I guess what I'm really asking is, does your mind have to have a premade "database" of things that you can experience, or does it just have the ability to mimic these things even though its never experienced them?

      I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say, thanks for any input!

      Nope, I don't think so. I had dreams of being in airplanes, feeling the push of take off and landing, and even the plane spiraling out of control, before I'd ever been inside of an airplane. Though, my mind was a little off, I know that now that I have been on an airplane and know what it really feels like. 'cept for the falling part. o_o; But I don't think I wanna know what that feels like anyways.
      Well, hope this helped somewhat. ^_^

      That does help, thank you! Also another thing I was wondering, since in a dream you have a better direct access to your mind, would you be able to pull up information that is very old and you dont remember all that well in the waking world. Like if you knew this person a long time ago but cant remember their face well, would your mind still rmeember that person and bring them up? Or say you saw an attractive person out at the mall or something, would your mind be able to remember these people even if you cant 100% remember them?

      Well, I don't know about that one. ._.; I think that your subconscious brain probably remembers things that your conscious mind doesn't, like how people can use hypnosis to find memories or certain things that the person under hypnosis doesn't remember when they're awake. I dunno, though, I don't even know if I believe in hypnosis, either. >_<;

      It's quite possible.. though I don't know how accurate that information would be (since there's no telling how accurate your memory would be after some time has passed).

      It would definately be interesting to try and see what happens!

      It seems like an interesting thing to try, I think I'm gonna attempt it once I get better and am having LD's more commonly with more control and confidence. I'll like look at someone at work and then try to bring them up in my dream.
