      Lucid dreaming problems

Last year i began to get interested in Lucid dreaming. I started keeping a dream journal and eventually i was able to remember huge very detailed portions of dreams. I listened to Stephen LaBerge on a radio show and he was talking about the WILD technique. The next day i tried it and it worked. I had a lucid dream. The problem was that in the dream i felt as if i had little control. I did try flying, and even visiting a few places but felt as if i only had partial control. Recently I've become a little better and I have had about 5-10 lucid dreams. I have noticed a few things about myself when entering the dream world that I haven't read about.
I start by laying down and thinking about something. I try to imagine every detail and control my breathing. Eventually i fell this euphoric feeling as if I'm falling but in a good way (the first time it freaked me out and i woke up). That euphoric feeling almost always happened before a lucid dream. Recently I haven't been able to achieve a lucid dream. I will about 2 nights per week get the feeling but instead of having a dream I see some kind of object in front of me. My eyes are closed but this object looks very real. The reason why I can't explain this object is because i can't remember what it looks like and when i try to focus on it too hard i usually wake up. Also I can feel my movements in my dream but if i try I can also move my body.
I now have a few questions for the experts out there:

      Is that euphoric feeling common?
Has anyone else ever been lying there with their eyes closed but could feel their eyes moving back and fourth? (kind of like you can feel the REM)
I know the WILD method is more advanced...What am I doing wrong, or what should i do differently?

I'm no expert, but I can answer two of your questions

Well, I have definetly felt the feeling of having your eyes moving back and forth. The first time I tried to WILD I found it actually really hard to keep my eyes closed. I started using a sleep mask and, because of the slight pressure on my eyelids, don't really have that problem any more.

And I've also sorta had that euphoric feeling. It almost seems like my bed is spinning and it feels cool, but I usually become too aware and loose it. >.<

Sometimes I have felt that Euphoric feeling and sometimes I don't so I think that it could be person specific. Being able to feel your eyes moving back and forth could be a form of Sleep Paralysis, you could be imagining it, but I am guessing it's the first of the two.

As for what you are doing wrong to become completely lucid it takes some practice to be able to become completely lucid. In my opinion you can just pick up Lucid Dreaming your first time and become a master so dont worry to much about it.

Some tips I found to have worked a few years ago were Reality Checks where if you think you might be dreaming check for some things that are obvious clues for instance time. If you were to look at a clock in a dream it would read a time, and then if you were to look back at it again it would be a different time. Now a way to incorporate this into your real life and your dreams is to check the clock quite often so it becomes a habit (you could get a watch). Now that you have done that you may find yourself checking your watch or clock in your dreams and noticing the time being different therefore signaling that you are having a dream.

There are many different methods which you can find on the forums you just have to find what works for you. As for staying lucid or becoming more lucid once you are lucid Rubbing Your Hands Together really fast and Spinning Around in circles can do wonders, the times in which I have remembered to do this has caused the dream to become much more vivid and lucid as well.
