      First lucid dream!

I've been studying lucid dreaming for awhile, using Stephen LaBerge's books, etc. I was keeping a dream journal, doing the work (I'm baby stepping, I'm doing the work), etc. Then as usual, I got bored and gave up. A couple of days after I gave up (Last night), I had my first lucid dream! It wasn't really a dream sign or anything that cued me in, I just kind of "Woke up" in my dream. I was in a haunted house ride kind of thing, like at an amusement park. And I realized that I was dreaming and instead of flying off or trying something like I thought I would - I just sat and in amazement at the realism of everything. I reached out and touched the walls, and they felt just like I figured they would. The ability of the mind to construct such a perfect real-time universe on the fly is astounding. I just kind of took it all in until I woke up.

This was exactly the motivation I needed to get back into things!

Oh yeah, and I'm new here.

that awesome, yo. My first lucid dream was a WILD and just as yours it was on a roller coaster, started seeing HI than went strait into a water roller coaster ride indoors somewhere, all the walls and floor and ceiling seemed to be really white. So right on

Welcome Hypostatize, and congrats on your first LD!!!!

In my first vivid high level LD, I also just focused on how real it all felt and on the feeling I had of complete and utter freedom, instead of doing any fancy stuff. I have had a lot of opportunities to do that since then, and I am glad I was able to take that experience for that...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
