Help! problems with rc

I've been trying ld for 2 months, i have my dream diary and that worked very well because in the the past i remembered like 2 dreams a month, now i remember 2 or 3 per night, i do my rc not that often but every day 3 or 4 times, and finaly yesterday i did a rc in my dream thats why im writing here. Well i was in my bethroom with my EXgirlfriend thats why i did the rc first i looked for strange things other than her, but there werent any, then i looked at my eyes in the mirror for a long time because i've read that u cant focus on something for a long time then i did something that really surprised me because i havent read or known about something like this, and it's that i turned on the lights and they turned on so i said well this isnt a dream and i stoped the reallity checks i knew also about checking clocks but i trusted in the power of switches. I trusted in them that much that when i woke up i said maybe that was reality and now im dreaming and i turned on the lights and obviosly they worked. So i want to know can rc with switches fail is there any rc that doesnt fail. Could it be something wrong with me like if i didnt want it to be a dream and if it is that maybe the breathing technique could also fail maybe i could also not breathe Help! i need somebody to tell me other technique that doesnt use rc or a willproof rc.The technnique must not be one that need me to wake up in the middle of the night then fall asleep again because once i wake up its almost impossible for me to fall asleep again. I know i ask a lot but i would apreciate any help or someone to tell me that im a lost case. PS: Lol knowing i wasnt dreaming i tryed to kill her new boyfriend, good that it was a dream if not i would be in jail lol.

That's okay that the RC didn't work... in fact certain RCs never seem to work for certain people. You have to find one that's the most reliable for you. Holding your nose and trying to breathe is a very popular RC, but again it doesn't work for absolutely everybody. Try checking a digital clock or a piece of writing, looking away, and looking back at it to see if anything has changed.

Interesting. Light switches never work in my dreams. However, I still never use them as a RC, because there's not always one around to check. I do use them not working as a dream sign, however.

Firstly welcome to the forum Secondly its great that you have a dream journal, and that you can remember 3 dreams a night ish. (insert what ever number is next) don't worry about the reality checks, they don't always work but alot of the times they do. It was most likely a once off.
