New to the Forum Lifelong Interest in Dreams

I am new here I was doing a search for information and came across this site. I was unsure of which subject heading to post under and decided I might post here. I have had a long time interest in dreams although interest doesnt quite describe it. Dreams are a part of my life like breathing is. I wouldnt have survived without them I think.

I havent had lucid dreams in a long time but did growing up. I used to record my dreams all the time but I never stopped remembering them. Certain habits have become automatic. Such as when I wake from a dream I have a tendancy to automatically repeat the dream or re-enter the dream sometimes the same dream might continue all night no matter how many times I wake up. Sometimes they are very vivid dreams. Sometimes I feel I know I am dreaming but would not consider it a Lucid dream.

My interest in dreams, Im not sure when it started, longer back than I can remember anything else in my life I remember dreams. I have more memory of dreams than of my own life when I was a child. They kept me going through very difficult times. Even the nightmares at times were more comforting than my own life. I am disabled and was growing up but had no name for it. I sleep strangely I dont sleep very well but I do dream alot.

I am not sure any of this makes any sense. There is so much I could talk about dreams and such. I wish i could make a career of it.
I was searching on the web for information on some strange experiences. and never really have talked about my dreams with anyone else (no one I know cares to listen) so this is new for me.

Lately I have been finding some new things with my sleep/dreams. Such as a strange sensation that I can actually feel my "consciousness" rising from the dream state or falling back into it.

The question that brought me here was that I have tinnitus loud ringing in my ears every night. but also have a strange very loud high pitch pulsing buzzing noise "in my ears" when I sleep usually when I lay with my ear to the pillow. I did a search that associated it with Lucid dreaming and so I came here. I noticed one morning laying in bed Id just woken from a dream and heard the buzzing very loudly I was laying on my back my ear hardly touching the pillow. And I was not fully awake I could feel myself just below consciousness somewhere between dream and awake. And as I felt myself rising up to wake, mentally, the buzzing gradually stopped, but as I thought about the dream as a way to bring myself back downward into the dream state the buzzing started up again. So it brought me to wonder what they have to do with eachother.

I dont know if I will be welcome here but I thought I should post. Ive been on the internet for so many years but I never really have been to places like this. (to post about dreams)
