Vivid Dream

Last night I had such a vivid dream that it caused me to search for some answers online. Ive heard of lucid dreams before and saw bits of the movie waking life. I came upon this site and immediately started realizing certain things about how I dream. Most importantly, that, when I dream I often find myself running.. however when I attempt to run my legs encounter so much resistance it seems as though I am waste deep in mud or water. Its then I often realize I am dreaming, but forget so moments later (or just lose interest). This has been reoccurring for 2 years or more.. each time it happens I know I'm dreaming... I often attempt to analyze why this happens after I'm awake, thinking theres some message behind it.. perhaps there isn't. One question I had, I often have dreams where I feel strong emotion towards a person, but, later on when I awake I can not remember their face. I'm not sure if I even ever see their faces in my dream or not. Its almost a fuzzy looking .. feeling almost. Other times I see faces vividly but its often of characters that play absolutely no real role in the dream. Is this common?

Hello and welcome to dreamviews! Yes on the last question. I've done that about 100 times. Do you build up extremely strong connections to these mystery mates? I do i wake up wishing i was still asleep with the woman of my dreams *pun intended*

Hello and welcome to dreamviews! Yes on the last question. I've done that about 100 times. Do you build up extremely strong connections to these mystery mates? I do i wake up wishing i was still asleep with the woman of my dreams *pun intended* No, not relationships per say. It's as though the main characters sometimes have no faces while the inconsequential character's faces I can make out extremely well; this to me seems counterintuitive. As for the vivid dream I had that brought about this search of mine, it was an encounter with an attractive women, her face was ... not blurred, but I just cant remember it. This isn't uncommon for me. (When I woke up I was pretty sad... not only because I wasn't still dreaming but also because I couldnt remember her face) Also, something I didn't mention in my original post. Almost every time I have dreams and remember them, I can always tell that I am in a dream because of an innate feeling or because of the resistance I feel when running. Though I never seem to have lucid dreams as described on this site; I rarely have very vivid dreams actually. It's almost as if Im seeing the world through my own eyes or a third person perspective but am just along for a ride.
