      Dreams taking a difficult turn

      Hey once again!

I started seriouly LDing about 3 weeks ago, and everything was going great. Last week, I even managed to have a lucid dream that lasted roughly 10 minutes (Not 10 consecutive minutes mind you, but I was going in and out in the same dream.)

However, starting about monday of this week, my dreams have taken a rather annoying turn. They're all too real. I dream of waking up and telling my parents they're making too much noise. Or of having my cat jump up on me, when in reality he's downstairs or something. I remember these dreams, so my recall isn't lost completely, but I can't tell if these are dreams or real situations until I ask someone about it, about 8 hours later on. By then, I've forgotten most of the details and my DJ entries are reduced to one or two liners.

I guess I'm asking, is there any way I can manipulate my dreams just slightly so they aren't so normal and plausible, and if not, is there any way I can tell without waiting 8 hours before I can ask someone?

Well when you're awake, perform some reality checks to make sure you're not dreaming. That's happened to me before. Are you lucid in those really realistic dreams? Actually I guess that was a dumb question :p

So yeah my best advice is to reality check during the day. If you can read something twice, you're not dreaming...Usually anyway
