      Just starting : )

So this week I have just started to try WILD every night and my dreams seem more vivid and I can remember them better but I dont have total control over them yet. On my first attempt my dream felt more real than normal and I could remember it a lot more than usual so I know I made some progress. I have been keeping a dream journal every morning when I wake up and I am just wondering when should I expect to actually have a LD? Thanks a bunch : )

Good job on getting your dreams to be clearer. I have only just started too and my dreams haven't been getting much clearer. But, I know it'll take some time to get used to since I've never tried something like this before.

      : )

      Thanks : )
Are you keeping a dream journal? Someone told me that they will help make your dreams clearer and will help you realise when you are in a dream. I admit at first I felt kinda weird writing down my dreams *hope no one find them on my computer haha) but it's cool to go back and read what happened in your mind and the different things that the dream parts resemble in past experiences and things like that.
Before I started this my dreams seemed realy short and I usually couldnt remember a dream after about ten minutes of waking up but now I roll out of bed and write them down on my computer before I shower and I can remember all the dreams I have had this week. Also I give each dream a title (or atleast so far I have) and that greatly helps me remember what the dream was about by just saying the title : )

Yes, I am keeping a dream journal and I had the same feelings about it that you did before you started it. It does help my dreams become a bit clearer since my last dream was probably my most clear all week. Keep logging your dreams and soon your dreams will be crystal clear.

Ther eis no time scale you can put on becoming lucid, some people do it quickly others take a while! Some never.

If you believe though and have confidence you will

      Good luck

WILD can bee incredibly hard and take a lot of practice from even the best lucid dreamers.

How long have you been lucid dreaming? If you've not had a fair few I'd suggest sticking to DILD and the like for the time being.

(And welcome to Dream Views! )

Thanks Alex D, and I love all of your pics : )

I have been trying to LD for about a week except for one night in the middle when I forgot because I slept at a friends house. Last night I had a lucid moment but it was weird because I tried to stay focused until I went into a dream state but I ended up just falling asleep however midway into my dream I think I looked down at my hands (I have been doing that technique for a while where I look at my hands through the day) and all of a sudden i realized I was dreaming. So here I am running from some people who want to arrest me when I run into a girl from school... what better way to use my new found power? She agreed to help me hide behind a building and we started to get "romantic" but midway into it I got too excited and woke up... how dissapointing but at least I had a LD.
      How do you do DOLD?
This is the greatest thing ever, I can't wait until I master it and can do all sorts of things like flying : D

DOLD is a typo of DILD, sorry about that.

DILD is getting lucid in your dream though stuff like reality checks. I find it much better than the other techniques personally as it requires less effort (only the reality checks and such really) and anyone of any experience can have success with them.

Arh hey Morning View, welcome to the forum

Yeah I wouldn't recommend the WILD to be honest, I'd say your best bet is with a MILDor DILD as Alex said.

      Hmm.

I'd of thought WILD would be easier than DILD

because in DILD you're relying on your dreamself. Who in my experience is a complete retard.

      But I suppose not.

Haha, i know what you mean, I find it hard to get my dreamself to do what I want, but because of my experiences with drugs, I ahve learned then when you are not thinking but just acting ( much like in a dream and when on certain drugs) you rely on habits, i remember telling myself while on drugs that I was only able to go through the day because it was a burned into my mind from doing it so much, dunno if that makes sense to you but those are my experiences.

When going through the day look down at your hands or ask yourself if this is a dream then depending on how much you ahve done it, you have a certain chance to look down at your hands to ask yourself if it is a dream, thus allowing yourself to realize you are in a dream and begin thinking : )

Hope something in that mess helped.
