New to the site, not to LDing

This is my first post on the site, I've regularly had lucid dreams for years (normally 2 or 3 a week, sometimes a few each night for days on end) but I've only recently found out that this is unusual. I've never tried any of the things that people talk about to help me LD for fear of losing them, although I have noticed that if I half wake up and then go back to sleep I nearly always have them, but I regularly just snap into lucidity while dreaming and I don't know why. For example, a couple of nights ago, I was just having a regular dream and sudenly thought 'This is a pretty boring dream, I'm going to be a super hero for a bit.' So I was! There was even a super vilian who kept trying to wake me up so that I'd lose all my powers. At one point I thought he'd woken me up as I was tied to a bed and I figured that I wouldn't be in a bed if I was still dreaming but then realised that I wouldn't be tied down if I was awake so I went back to being lucid almost imediately.

Hey there, welcome to Dream Views.

It's always nice to have a experience lucid dreamer here.

So, do all your lucid dreams come naturally?

Yeah they're all natural in the sence that I don't ever try to lucid dream, I only heard the term lucid dreaming for the first time about a month ago and have been a bit dubious about trying to force them since I acheve them without doing so and so don't want to change my mentality when I dream in case I stop having them. I can remember having them ever since childhood, I used to have a recuring dream about 'my house' (which bore no resemblence to my real house) with loads of cool things in it and whenever I was having a dream I didn't like (not necesarily a nightmare) I'd make myself go to the house instead.

Wow, how odd is it that'd we both join around the same time with almost the same titles? Unfortunately, I don't have any innate skill like that; I don't focus on induction or even recall for too long before I get sidetracked. I probably have around three or four spontaneous LDs every year. But enough about me. Welcome!
