I just wanted to make my presence known as a new poster here. Hello all! I used to partake of the Lucidity Institute's online forum until they removed that feature of their website. I've since been prowling through the internet in search of a serious, professional online discussion board about LDing and this one looks like a keeper

I got into the idea of LDing now many moons ago, back when Stephen LaBerge was just becoming known in his field. I've had a handful of inspiring lucid dreams over the years (and countless more which have slipped from my memory). I attribute the geneal infrequency of my LDs to laziness. I'm very much an on again - off again person about staying focused with it; it's very much like body building (at least for me), where if you don't maintain regular "excercise" you won't succeed.

Because of this I'd say LDing -- serious LDing -- is about a life change. Maybe some people can dream lucidly in spades without putting much thought or effort into it, but for me it demands great effort (reality checks, maintaining a dream journal, the works.) So anyway, this is me. That's my story on the whole lucid dreaming shpeal. Pleased to meet you all!
