Cool Very New and VERY Interested

For some strange reason I was watching a part of an episode of Star Trek: Voyager where they spoke of Lucid dreaming. And then they spoke about being able to create a lucid dream.

If you guys could point me to some posts for beginners, that would be amazing. This all sounds amazing.

      Hi and welcome!

For reading, I would suggest the Dream Views website itself. It tells you what it's all about, how it works and gives you a suggestion on how to start.
      Those basic things are usually:

A dream journal, where you write down every dream you can remember when you wake up, as soon as possible, so you don't forget them. This will help with your dream recall.

Learning about RCs or reality checks. They are there as tests, which help to tell you if you are dreaming or not. There are many ways of doing this and differ from person to person. The most common ones are checking some text twice, to see if it changed, another one is pinching your nose and trying to breathe, in a dream you should be able to breathe, since there is nothing blocking your nose. There are quite a few other possibilities... You should do them while you're awake and really question yourself if you're dreaming or not.

There are many techniques of inducing a Lucid Dream. Some examples: WILD, DILD, MILD... You can learn them from the main site, from the Tutorial section, from the attaining lucidity section or anywhere else on the forum basically But mostly those places.

I hope I helped, see you around and good luck!

Hey there, welcome to Dream Views!

I had no idea that lucid Dreaming was mentioned in Star Trek, that's pretty much the antithesis of the new-age stuff the subject is usually associated with, which is nice.

Holy crap. I haven't watched TV in years, but I remember that episode. It was the best Star Trek ever. I saw it three times I think
