Hi everybody I thought i should drop by to tell you guys about me. I'm 16 and i got interested in Lucid Dreaming when i read a tutorial on RottenEggs I realized that i had those kind of dreams before. I've been having lucid dreams since i was a kid on and off but for the past 5-6 years i barely dreamed. Recentley though i've been dreaming a lot more like about girls and sometimes i even get like a vision where 3-4 months later it'll happen in real life(when it happens it's the weirdest thing ever!!!) Anyone else on here know what this could mean?

Welcome to the forums! I'm sure that a more experienced poster will be along in no time to point out the more important tutorials and guides. As for your "visions", my opinion is that your dreams (especially the more vivid ones) stay repressed in your subconcious until a certain event "triggers" the memory of these repressed dreams. Your brain, now faced with a ton of new (or rather old) information, tries to make sense of it all by establishing links in between the dream and the actual event. Therefore, there seems to be a connection when in actuality there is none. It's the same principal as an optical illusion, where your brain tries to make sense of missing information by creating its own.

      Hope this helps !

I'd agree with that (I think I'm agreeing). Sometimes, your brain gets some information, and either thinks it's already seen it, or rearranges existing subconscious memories to "fit" the situation. It happens to me sometimes, the deja vu thing, but that's how I explain it.

I could be totally wrong, though. Who can understand the mind?
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

Welcome to the forum Mich, hrm that sounds like dejá vu. Just one of those coincidental things that happens. Some people think it's just the mind looking at past experiences and working out what will happen in the future and the presenting it to you in a dream.
