I haven't tried it personally, but it seems like a good idea. Plus it seems to have worked, keep trying this technique and tell us of your success. |

I made a recording a couple days ago of my own voice, saying "You may be in a dream. Try a reality check now." |

There are some audio tracks out there that have an extended relaxation phase, and then about 90 minutes in (when the first REM stage typically begins) it changes and aims to "wake you up" inside the dream (become lucid). Some people have luck with them. I haven't tried it. Although my goal is to get a few full-night PSGs recorded to find out when, on average, I specifically go into REM, and then make some sort of signaling system, audio or otherwise, tailored to my own sleep patterns. |

LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.
Well last night I tried it again, but to no lucid success. I woke up a couple times when I heard it, doing a RC and finding that it was real life. |

If you can bear to sleep with headphones on and are using something like an iPod that has an alarm, try setting the alarm on that file for the middle of the night, rather than falling asleep TO it. |
