Smile Which should I read first?

I just recieved my copies of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming and Lucid Dreaming: A Concise Guide to Awakening in Your Dreams and in Your Life, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me which I should read first?

You know, I can't stop hearing good things about Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, people take it as the ultimate authority on the subject, so perhaps that would be the best first read.

Hey Jared, i'd say its best to check out Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming first, its a better read especially if your just starting out, read it first. It'll offer you some good insight as well as tips etc.

I would recommend reading EWOLD by Stephen LaBerge first. That book is commonly referred to as the "Bible of lucid dreaming" on this forum, and other LDing sites.

edit: damn, Alex and Lucid Seeker, you guys beat me to it! :p

Thanks for your help. Is there anything in the other one that EWOLD doesn't have?

I'd say Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming. I have that book and it helped me a lot.

To be honest I just kind of skipped around in the book, I didn't start from page 1.

I say the second one to get a general idea of Lucid Dreaming (trust me, I have both and it hardly contains any proper information), then the first one (EWOLD) to really get into the methods etc.

I'm just marvelling at the synchronicity of Alex's, Lucid's and Burns' posts !

Exploring the world of lucid dreaming (EWOLD) is the lucid dreamers bible, go with that one first

PROTIP: If you read EWOLD before Consice Guide, when reading Consice you will think "I already know all of this", and it will be money wasted.

I'm already reading EWOLD, but I think it's good that I bought the Concise Guide because it's shorter so I could use it for quick reference and not have to flip through all those pages in EWOLD

Bloody hell, my name is also Jared, so everytime someone types it, I keep thinking their post is to me

Anyway, if you ask me, the Concise Guide is complete rubbish. I read a lot of it ages ago, and just has really really general information. EWLD (usually you don't abbreviate "the" or "of) is a much better read, is much more detailed, and has many more techniques, and sub-techniques. I wouldn't even waste your time with the other one.

I don't really feel like ordering one though, im poorish sorta. I'd rather spend my money on gas tbh...

Well I already paid the money for it, but I guess I could give it to someone and introduce one more person to the world of lucid dreaming
