      Intro w/ Modest LD Experience

      Hi I'm new here....

Basically, I practiced lucid dreaming several years ago. I got up to about 2 LDs a month. All DILDs.

Practicing, I would do "reality checks" through out the day... and ask myself if I was dreaming.

Although I got frustrated that the dreams were so short! Only 2 minutes to 10 minutes long. :/ And my control was only modest.

My favorite lucid dream-- the one I had in different permutations-- was just hooking up with my favorite celebrity. Oh, and one time I built a palace.

I hope that being on a message board can inspire me to have more and better lucid dreams.

Hey lexmeeki and to Dream Views!

You sound asthough you were doing very well back when you were active with lucid dreaming, well i firstly wouldn't get frustrated about short dreams, this will kill lucid dreams by getting frustrated about it, try thinking positively about it, you could of had no dream at all.

I'm sure that joining this forum will help bring you back to where you once were and improve on it, you will get better and better and i hope you achieve what you want. If you have any questions feel free to ask, best of luck to you

      Hey there welcome!

I found that once I joined I got a lot more lucid dreams, be sure to remind yourself of the tutorials and everything, they really help. As for the length of your lucid dreams, they'll get longer over time, to make them last longer you could also try rubbing your hands together or spinning and not getting too excited, that helps some people.

Be sure to ask if you have any questions and make yourself at home.

      Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I've tried spinning which did help. I've never tried rubbing my hands together though........ that's a good suggestion.

welcome to dreamviews, you were doing well, if you make sure you keep a dream journal you could probably do better.

when I wrote in my dream journal every day I had at least a lucid dream every two weeks, but my highest rate was one every 2-3 days, and I want that to happen again

      ^Probably

      Thanks webmaster for the welcome!

Sugarglider, I hope your lucid dream streak of 2-3 days starts again soon. I would soooooooo love to have that consistency.
