      Just a few questions.

Well, first off I can only remember having 3 lucid dreams and only one could I control and that was only for small things. Please forgive me if these questions have been asked before. I know it can be frusterating when newbies keep asking the same questions over and over. I skimmed a few threads and I was wondering, what does going WILD mean?. Also what is RC short for. And is this normal. In some of my non lucid dreams I can't stand up right. It like there is a very strong force holding in the position when you bow. Also it sometimes feels like my legs weight a ton and I have trouble walking. Like I'm walking through deep water, but a bit harder than that. In a couple of my dreams my thunb will get stuck straight up and it is very hard to bend it back forward. I even had a dream when I appeared naked in school. Thanks for the help!!!

First up, welcome to the forum!

WILD means 'Wake Induced Lucid Dream', it's a particularly hard induction technique, but staff member Clairity has written a blinding tutorial for how to do them so check it out here. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...233#post476233

An RC is a reality check, a test performed to see if you're dreaming, for more information check this handy thread out http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=4470

Never come across that before, but what it is is a 'Dream Sign', an indicator that you're dreaming. Seems to be a common one for you. People look out for dream signs and reality check when they come across them, increases chances of lucidity to no end. Lucky you having such an obvious one.

I skimmed a few threads and I was wondering, what does going WILD mean? [Its not so much going WILD but the term is used to define the Wake Induced Lucid Dream technique in which you wake up then slip back into your dreams during the REM perios but remain conscious. I would highly recommend Clarities WILD technique found here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=37749]. Also what is RC short for [Reality Check. It is a simple check performed throughout the day to confirm you are awake. What you would typically do is look for your dream signs, so these are common occurrences within your dreams like, always dreaming of a person or object, and when you come across these in waking like you perform the reality check with a view to embedding this process into your subconscious so you perform this in a dream to become lucid]. And is this normal [Yes]. In some of my non lucid dreams I can't stand up right. It like there is a very strong force holding in the position when you bow. [these are common dreams and happen to a lot of people, they can be used as good dream signs as they differ from waking life]
I hope this helps answer your questions. If you need to know any more please shout. And welcome to the forum

So let me get this straight. WILDs are different that lucid dreaming. And when you WILD you are awake, but asleep at the same time? A bit confusing. I'll tell you what I have so far. Lucid dreaming is when your dreaming and you know it. But WILD is when your subconscious mind goes to sleep, but you are still awake. So it feels like you are awake, but really are sleeping. Also how do you know that this stuff is safe? I'm still a bit confused so please help me before I end up like this guy.

You are asleep still when you WILD. Basically you fall asleep, well your body does, but your mind is aware of your dream state since you are supposed to slip right back into REM.

So basically when you DILD you realise you are dreaming when sleeping

When you WILD you fall to sleep but remain conscious and are instantly aware you are dreaming

If this is still not cclear please say. It can all get a bit daunting at first

What is the difference between the two. Is one better? Do you get the same effect with both. In both can you control what happens?
