      Waking up every so often!

Well last night, I went to bed. I was going to WILD but got lazy... (The usual) lol. Then I woke up and had a very vivid dream, went to bed, woke up and I ended up having a continuation of the last dream fell asleep woke up, tried a DEILD, didn't work cause I didn't remember what I was supposed to do than just sit there =P. BUT, Omg, the dreams last night were actually fun.

My question is, how can I have my body wake up every so often like last night? Are there any ways to have it so you probably would? Ok, thanks!

Maybe last night you were sleeping in an unconfortable position or a dairy product before going to sleep.

Dairy products release amino acids wich create meletonin (I think) causing you to have more vivid dreams and the chance to wake up more often.

SO try to eat cheese or other dairy products before bed to see if that helps.

This sounds like a continuation of WBTB. I often have this when lucid and it is either actual awakenings or FA's. Either way i dont think there is any way you can force yourself to do this naturally, sometimes it just happens.

Or are you asking how you get lucid from this?

Another Idea, wake up from a dream and set your alarm clock for five minutes, go to sleep, wake up, repeat.

Hmm, I can usually relate to that. Last night I drank orange juice before bed. Most nights I wake up to drink water. I'll try this tonight.

Thanks for awsners! (Didn't actually expect many)

I've done the opposite too--not gotten a drink when I'm thirsty, then had thirst induced lucid dream.

Wow, is that even possible lol! Maybe i should just reject some of the things in my life and that way i may have a few more lucid dreams But if you can do that Moonbeam it just shows what can be achieved with a little neglect or opposite thinking

The thirst is so immediate and uncomfortable that it works pretty well--you start dreaming about drinking right away, so you just have to concentrate on that right before you go back to sleep--that as soon as you drink something, you know you're dreaming.

I've done it with food too; but that works more sporadically (like don't eat chocolate for a while, think about it before sleep, and remember if you eat chocolate, you're dreaming).
