      Introduction

I have been searching for access to a room in my dreams for many years now.

I had a vivid dream in which I could feel this room getting closer but of course I woke up

I found this forum and it seemed like the place to get some questions answered.

Look forward to making your acquaintance.

      Kurt

Hello there, welcome to the forum.

When you say access to a room, what exactly do you mean? Is the room a recurring theme in your dreams? Whatever it is I'm sure lucid dreaming should help you in your quest there. Do you have any experience with lucid dreaming?

      Hey and welcome DV~~
I don’t understand you’re dream. You tell me that you are looking for a room. You have been looking for this room for many years. Once you find it the walls close in on you. I assume you have had this dream more than once so I would wonder why you would continue searching for this room.

It would make sense if you said I want to get away from the room. How do I get away from the room? Or how do I stop having this dream?
So my friend what are you trying to ask me??????

First of all, thanks so much for the warm welcome.

Secondly, sorry it took me so long to respond - I had a really horrible weekend.

The room that has been evading me for years now, in my dreams, seems to change place everytime I dream about it. Yet I have had several dreams, perhaps one a year for the past decade, in which I am in a new locale, usually a mansion or some such large place, and I am aware that there is a room that I need to find.

Something keeps telling me that I need to get to the room and so I search around and am usually able to become aware that there is a way to get to the room, but I usually wake up before I am able to actually get there.

The closest I have come is knowing that the room lies at the end of a long corridor and that I have found the door to the corridor and have looked in though I had not seen the door to the room - though I knew that it was there.

I have attempted lucid dreaming off and on, and have been successful a handful of times though never so much so that I can get anyplace specific due to the excitement involved in realizing that I am having a lucid dream.

I don't know what is in the room but I am drawn to it and I have become sort of fixated on it and when I go to sleep I always hope that it will have a place in whatever dream.
