Are my floating dreams lucid? Noob Q

Just before I start floating I feel a tingling all around my body. I usually realize I'm dreaming right then.

But before I start floating it feels as if I have to surrender myself. I mean I have to relax myself (in my dream) often I'll feel like I'm being pushed side to side but soon after I will gain control and I really enjoy trying to steer myself around!

My favorite is when I float/fly just a few feet above ground or make big swooping turns.

It is the tingling/uncontrollable feeling the clues me in on when I'm dreaming. Any of you start your flying dreams the same way?

      Hey there, to the forums!

Well, if u know that your dreaming, your lucid. By the sounds of your description, it looks like your dreaming so they're lucid dreams.

How often do u have these dreams, they sound quite enjoyable.

I usually have about one every two weeks or so. My most memorable was when I was sleeping at my grandmother's house. I knew I was dreaming so I decided to check out the ceiling of the room I was in and compare it to when I woke up. Eveything went as planned. I floated up to the top. Eye level (I mean EYE LEVEL) It got a real good mental image then had fallen back asleep.

Well when I woke up and stood up and tried to see if it look the ceiling looked the same. Nope. Completely different. It looked (in my dream) as if it was under a microscope! The texture was way different!

      But it was neat nonetheless.

ive never floated or flew in my dreams, well once but that was slow and i mean slow, what does it feel like, windswept hair?

      P.S.

Such a shame this has to end, things are out of his command.

Never felt the windswept hair but more the feeling of inertia while turning mostly. I'm certainly no authority on floating exercises but when I first started I would remain mostly still while floating. For me, I think I started learning to move around by trusting yourself. I mean I would relax and allow myself to fall backwards. (As if on to a bed of pillows) At first try, not to control it and just let what happens happen and try to recall the physical sensations. Hope that helps 920.

Hey technically sound and to DreamViews!

Its good that you already have experienced some lucid dreams and that you enjoy floating, i like it how the tingling hints to you that you are dreaming in a way, that is pretty cool, if you can continue with it you are definately on the road to some excellent lucid dream
