      Welcome to the forum

Well there are many ways of becoming lucid, these are all listed in the Tutorials Section. Which is the basic encyclopedia of lucid dreaming. The MILD is the easiest in my opinion. You should try that first.

A little tip, make sure your recall is really good first, just make a dream journal and record all your dreams. This will help you remember dreams and remember your lucids. After all what's the point in lucid dreaming if you can't remember them?

Dream journals also help you to recognize dream signs, (reoccuring events/people) in dreams. Once you know what these are you can so a reality check to become lucid.

      Hope this helps

Others have already pointed you in the right direction so I'll give you a more general answer. Lucidity in the dream state happens when you - for some reason or by some means - recognise that you are in fact in the midst of a dream. There are various ways to reinforce your desire to do so and those are described in various tutorials around the site.

Note that there are more "tutorials" than what are in the tutorial section. Make sure to scan the "attaining lucidity", "lucid aids", etc... sections for more techniques used by various members.
