      Dreaming your in bed?

I was reading through this post and it mentions to try the nose RC to see if your asleep but if your asleep, your dreaming. Would you really be dreaming about what you were doing while awake? Would you not appear in some random place in a random scenario like most dreams just this time you're aware your dreaming?

I'm gonna try this technique along with WILD (which I had semi-success with lastnight).

Hope it works, also I'll start my dream journal tonight(that sounds so gay but if it works: YAY).

The nose RC has worked for many people, the point of the RC is that you try it so that you can determine whether or not you are dreaming, i mean some dreams can be very realistic and vivid so you wouldn't tell the difference, it does help though alot. I hope it works for you though. Haha, lots of people have dream journals, it doesn't sound gay lol, its all cool with us. Have fun!

I understand the point of the nose RC my query has to do with it being nessecary. Surely if you begin dreaming using this technique your going to know your dreaming as 1 sec your in bed the next your in some city getting beat up by the spice girls (or whatever). Its obvious your dreaming, right?

From reading the post (linked in my original post) I get the impression that there is no difference between reality and dream scenario wise, as your in bed on both occasions. Its difficult to explain. I've only ever had DILD and on those occasions the lasted for about 10 secs MAX so I'm complelty new to going into your dreams lucid and am wondering what its like.

Do you start (the dream) in some random place like a regular dream or do you begin where you fell asleep or does it differ from time to time, person to person?

Also, are there many online/offline dream journals out there? I think I might make one, not now but in a few months maybe (I've alot on now).

      Thanks.

Yeah but the whole point of an RC is to doubly make sure that you are dreaming, though you think you are right in thinking tis a dream its best to reinforce it with hard evidence by doing the RC.

In my dreams i don't tend to remember the beginning at all, i just remember dreams when i awaken in the morning. But when i start practicing my recall i can remember absolutely loads of details, but i've just started my dream journal again so i don't remember much currently.

DreamViews has its own Dream Journal section which can be found here. Just feel free to add a new thread and begin your dream journal, many people have online dream journals.

If I understand what you are saying; I often find when I WILD that I will be in my room, so dreaming where I last was in waking life. Often find I have rolled onto the floor or something, the trick is to prevent an FA and continue with the dream!

      to the forum!
As LS said, RCs are just there to re-inforce your belief that you're dreaming. Lucidity is a delicate thing, it can be lost very easily.
that sounds so gay but if it works: YAY
There are 1,850 threads in the Dream Journal forum. So it's not gay.
