I suppose I'd better introduce myself...

      Hello all

I've been posting for a month or so in the dream interpretation forum. My interest is in the Freudian/Jungian understanding of dreams as well as my own experiences. I believe that in a dreamstate our unconscious reveals itself more clearlly than in a waking state, where daydreams and fantasies are the nearest equivalent. We see whatever is "on our mind" whether it's unprocessed stuff from the previous day or longer-term unresolved issues. And everything in our dream is an expression of our own thoughts and emotions.

Following a mid-life change in direction, I've recently qualified as a therapist/counsellor and live in Scotland. Please excuse me for remaining anonymous - I take few risks these days on the internet.

I'm also here to learn from others, so please engage with me especially if I post something you don't agree with!!!

      See you around.

Bu, I'm glad you decided to introduce yourself.

I know you stated that you have been here a month posting in the dream interpretation forum but you might want to review the Newbie Zone Guide (if you haven't already) for helpful information about this site: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=36723

You might also want to check out the Tutorials forum which contains information on the various lucid dreaming techniques: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25

If you should have any questions, please ask and we'll do our best to get you answers.

Welcome to the "rest" of the forum!

Thanks to all 3 of you for the welcome. I'll check out the links too.

I don't know much about lucid dreaming, my one attempt to get into it several years ago largely leaving me with sleeples nights. :-(

      See you around

Hello Adam. I hope last week's cold weather didn't put you off returning.

I've noticed a few Scots on this forum, in fact.

It was not too cold, the air was crisp to say the least, got stuck in traffic on the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh though

I might be coming to Dundee next week..
