Bugger.
I had a nice long reply all typed out and hit the submit button but I had been logged out in the meantime. After logging back in my reply was all gone.
Time to start again.

from the old man on the block.
My advice for what its worth. Dont expect miracles. Having a LD for most people is a skill that you have to work on and perfect. A lot of people on this site can have a LD on a whim but that is not the norm.
Start on Dream recall, keeping a Journal and doing reality checks frequently all day, everyday.
I was doing those before serious medical problems

kicked me down for 6 months and I probably wont be back into LDing tactics fully untill next year when, hopefully, I have recovered. Not easy having a LD when your in hospital having morphine induced hallucinations. The two just dont go together.
I have had two LD's and both were without trying. I did not know about Lucid Dreaming untill I had my first last year and a friend told me what it was called. That when I found this site.
I can tell you that having a LD is a fantastic experience that you will want to have over and over again so start at the beginning and work the tactics. You will never regret putting in the effort. Seek advise from the experienced dreamers on this site.
Best wishes, welcome and good luck.
