What is happening?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I have a question. Occasionally when I am asleep, I find myself staring at a certain place in my room (my wall, the ceiling) and I see spiders crawling up the walls, or somewhere near me. It's always big spiders. I always jump up thinking they're real, but I go back to sleep when I realize they are in my head. Why spiders? Why does this happen? I hope someone can give me some insight! Thanks =)

Hello there, to the forum! Everybody has a common dream sign. Yours is spiders. Actually, having a common dream sign can be used to induce lucidity. I'll go get the link for you. EDIT: Hmmm, I thought there was a tutorial about dream signs. I guess I was wrong. Repeating to yourself before you go to bed "If I see spiders, I am dreaming" should help. Also, whenever you see a spider in real life, do a reality check and ask yourself if you are dreaming. That way, the next time you see spiders in your dream, you should reality check and realize that you are dreaming.
