A Lucid Dream is a dream in which you become aware that you are in the dream state and this conscious awareness in the dream triggers lucidity as long as your sure that you are dreaming. This then allows you to carry out almost any activity. Its basically like being a God, you can do anything you want, summon anyone you want, you can fly, you can run at the speed of light, you can do pretty much anything.

In order to become lucid within dreams it is an idea to start improving your dream recall, so put out an intention each night to remember the nights dreams in the morning. Just an intention usually works. When you wake don't think about the day ahead of you, just focus on piecing together what happened the previous night. Then write it down in a dream journal, keep a record of all your dreams and any details you may remember. I mean whats the point of having a lucid dream if you won't remember it in the morning when you wake. Recall is basically the foundation needed to start lucid dreaming.

After improving your recall so you can remember say 1-2 dreams a night then you are ready to try an induction technique, you could try the MILD technique or maybe even the WILD technique. But there are tons of techniques to becoming lucid within a dream, check out the Tutorial section for more guides, they are very helpful!
