Was this "Dream Control" or Not?

I have had lucid dreams all my life, and I haven't controlled one in a very long time. Last night after many recurring nightmares I think I have gained back that state of Dream Control.

      The Dream.

The lucid part of the dream starts when walking down a long hallway filled with people, like a University or library, the lights dim and people disappear.
Someone walks up to me and plunges a hypodermic needle in my side.

In my mind this is was meant to paralyze me and I can feel it starting to work.
At that point I beleave I may have entered "Dream Control, " at least to some degree.

I drop to my knees and fake the paralyzing effects, I faked passing out, because I was thinking (in the Dream) I could escape somehow.
I am dragged into a room, like a hospital operating room and placed on a table.

Surgical tools are placed on my chest and I grab one, jump to my feet and
force this "Doctor" (for better lack of a description) into another room and lock the door.

I walk back out of this room into the lighted hallway where people are there
      once again.
      End of Lucid Dream.

      Lucid Dream or Not?

Does it really matter whether it's classed as a lucid dream or not?
But if you influenced the dream consciously then you did have dream control, yes
Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.

You're asking two separate things. If you were aware that you were dreaming while you were dreaming then it was a lucid dream. If you were able to decide what to do by conscious will then you were exercising dream control.

As well, one can exist without the other as well remember, you can control your dreams without being lucid, and be lucid without control. One doesn't guarantee the other

Thanks, I Guess I was asking two different questions, although I wasn't entirely aware that I was Lucid dreaming this time, (I'm sure I was) because in the past The thought, "I'm Dreaming" always came into my mind. Since this was a border-line nightmare, I wonder if a Primal survival instinct had surfaced and negated the lucidity, and the thought I usually have of, "oh.. this is a dream, I can now control it."
Perhaps I'm now posing a third question.

      Thanks for replying.

Thanks, I haven't had one in a while, so wasn't sure.
